Northern Meet with the Bays from Brazil in’t Dales

Great weekend with fellow VW T2 campervan enthusiasts from the north at Masons campsite, Appletreewick.
What a lovely multicoloured fleet of Brazi Bays we are if I may say so myself.
Great food and banter at the Craven Arms and round the fire pit talking all things vdub and admiring each others interiors/accessories/hub caps.
Brought the bikes and went for our obligatory mud fest of a bike ride over the tops – I’m well prepared for any potential child birth as most of our bike rides involve one gargantuan hill or another where James is cycling beside me yelling “PUSH!! PUUUUUSH!!” and I’m pedalling red faced, panting like a woman possessed, muttering about never letting him do this to me again.
It was at this point on saturday halfway up an ascent that lasted about 45 minutes James informed me it recently featured in his mountain biking magazine as one of the top ten toughest climbs in the uk. Well it certainly got the endorphins flowing and a wholesome air in the lungs whereby to enjoy our pasta al fresco with new found lovely friends Alison&Marcus outside their pristine turquoise Betsy who put Babs to shame! Marcus had personalised campervan cookies for everyone – what a legend!
Big up to Priscilla Queen of the Dales – lovely to meet you. Indeed lovely to meet EVERYONE…we’re addicts now and are chomping at the bit to get the next VW event. Bring it.

    • You too Marcus and thanks again for the amazing cookie/ale/pasta etc! We might call in on you in the next few weeks on our way past Sheffield to introduce you and Ali to our new acquisition…!

  1. You’re more than welcome to come round. We would love to see Jemima. Just let us know when so we can be in. Bring your bikes and I’ll show you some proper hill climbs! Ali wouldn’t be joining us but she could drive to the pub
